Outdoor Furniture

Outdoor Furniture

April 20th, 2010

We’re very excited for our first shipment of outdoor furniture product to hit the sales room floors just in time for summer. Stylish and contemporary looks highlight this first of many lines. What’s better than lounging in the pool during a hot summers day and later enjoying dinner al fresco with close friends under the stars.

Taking advantage of Speedtech’s 3D visual effects team we were able to develop each piece of outdoor furniture first virtually and to scale prior to producing any hard samples . Our 3D services helped to avoid a loss of time and money for our customer by perfecting each piece of furniture to scale in 3D removing the need to build each hard sample, ship them globally , wait for that shipment to arrive, have a meeting to discuss needed adjustments and then rebuild the sample to the new specs until final approval was given.

Through the virtual environment we built we were able to make submissions to our client, review them together, make any requested improvements promptly and resubmit again for approval. Once final approval was given we built hard samples – all of which came back with full approval the first time! A true success story for Speedtech and one that could work for your business as well.

Lifestyle furniture is a new area of development for the Speedtech Global Sourcing group. One of which we are all very eager to continue developing . For more information about our outdoor furniture resources please contact us at info@speedtech1.com

MistyMate Shelf Display

MistyMate Shelf Display

September 25th, 2009

MistyMate request an illustration to show how their product would appear in a specific retail chain. We used a clever mix of 3D and 2D graphics to produce an accurate representation.

Most of the product images are renders using an alpha projected onto a plane and accurately sized. Some of the projected images wouldn’t display properly so we actually modeled certain product parts using 3d.

After modeling each of the components, we projected the product using 3d and produced a final renders ready for compositing.
